The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) celebrated International Women’s Day under the theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” on 8 th March 2025 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima with Special Guest Shri. Wangpang Konyak, Hon ‘ble MLA & Advisor, Social Welfare.
During the celebration the NSCW honoured three dignified women as:
A. NSCW Excellence Award 2025 in recognition of their outstanding
contribution and achievement in their respective fields:
i) Dr. Easterine Kire in the field of Literature
ii) Smt Monalisa Changkija in the field of Journalism

B. NSCW Award 2025 in her commitment, leadership and service rendered
in the State of Nagaland.
